General Information
You have decided to have your child try hockey. We want to welcome you to our family. Hockey is a great team and friend building experience for the entire family. USA Hockey has a great training program that is designed to be fun for the skaters yet maximize each individual skater's potential.
To get you started in the right direction the association wants to provide you with a list of essentials for getting started. Feel free to reach out to a team manager, coach or any of the Hockey Board Members listed on the website with any additional questions.
The Association provides most gear at no charge when first starting out. As your player progresses you may want to purchase your own gear and additional things like a neck guard (required at the ATOMS level and above) mouth guard (required at the Squirt level and above) a better or large stick (not provided at the CI/Mite levels and above) and any other protective gear.
